Brilliantly reproduced on this limited edition silk scarf, the poster known as ” Spring” is one of a set of The Four Seasons produced by the exceptionally prolific, multitalented Catalan artist, Alexandre de Riquer I Ynglada. The image epitomizes the Art Nouveau, or Catalan modernisme manner evidenced in Riquer’s art, not  alone in posters for which he was justly famed but in the many print media to which his line drawings, etchings and lithograph colors so notably ornamented  books (his own among them), bookplates, periodicals, menus, sheet music, stamps and even official documents.
