Starting January 2, 2026, visitors will be asked to reserve a free ticket prior to entering the galleries. Get your tickets here.
Admission to the Hispanic Society is free. Providing a suggested donation helps us care for our historic collection and provide free educational programming for school groups and the general public.
Suggested Donation:
- Adults: $15
- NY, NJ, and CT residents: $10
- Students: $5
- Seniors (65 and up): $5
- Children under 10: Free
- Members: Free
Museum members do not need a ticket, they may present their membership card on arrival for an expedited check in.
Groups of 10 people or more, including K-12 school groups, must fill out this form to request a visit.
Please note: The Main Court of the museum is currently closed for the installation of Sandy Rodriguez: Tierra Insurgente, which opens to the public on April 9. During this time, visitors can still see our temporary exhibition Goya and the Age of Revolution and our permanent installation of JoaquΓn Sorollaβs mural series Vision of Spain.

Note: use of the library and reading room is reserved for researchers and students. No tours of the library are offered. Researchers and students wishing to use the library must make an appointment. To request an appointment, please email: books@hispanicsociety.org.
The Library is closed during the month of August, on Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday and Saturday, and from December 20 to December 31. During June and July, the Library closes at 3:00 pm.
How to Get Here
Located in the dynamic Washington Heights neighborhood overlooking the Hudson River, the Hispanic Society is minutes away from midtown Manhattan by public transportation, and is easily accessed from Westchester, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Enter Audubon Terrace on the west side of BroadwayΒ between 155th and 156th streets and proceed up the steps through the wrought iron gates. The Museum entrance is on the left, flanked by two limestone lions.
Accessibility
The Hispanic Society Museum & Library is accessible to wheelchair users via the Broadway entrance to Audubon Terrace.
Directions:
To reach the Hispanic Society Museum & Library, enter Audubon Terrace from the west side of Broadway, between West 155th and West 156th Streets.
A wheelchair ramp is available at the first stairway leading to the terrace. The second and third stairways are equipped with wheelchair lifts operated by Hispanic Society staff.
Please ring the bell located at either stairway, and a staff member will assist you shortly.
Please note:Β At this time, visitor access is limited to the ground floor of the museum while we work to improve accessibility in other areas of the building.
