Learn more about the artists:
Andrés Molano Moreno
Andres is a professional Latin dancer and choreographer. He specializes in Afro Cuban and Latin dance and is also classically trained in ballet, contemporary and jazz. He participates in international dance competitions as a Salsa Soloist as well as on professional teams. In 2019 at Euroson Latino, Andres and his team earned the title of World Champions of Salsa in the Cabaret Group category. Euroson is one of the world’s most recognized championships. He has also competed in Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, and the United States. Currently Andres teaches Latin folk dance in New York City. He is passionate about sharing Latin dance with the younger generation, specifically the immigrant families from Latin America who are at risk of losing their cultural heritage when they emigrate from their countries of origin to the USA.
La Sonora Nuyorkina
La Sonora Nuyokina is a contemporary salsa band. Their members are young talented musicians who bring a fresh sound to the latin genres. Their repertoire goes from all time classics to the most popular hits today, to their own original material.
The members of La Sonora come from different parts of Latin America and North America: the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Ecuador, as well as the United States. Each musician brings their unique taste, talent, and experience to give La Sonora its vibrant sound.
