2023 NYSCA Artist Fellows Maria Luisa Portuondo Vila and Aurora De Armendi Sobrino return to explore the creation of small clay sculptures inspired by their most significant memories of trees.

Ceramics Workshop with Ysabel Abreu
Ysabel Abreu is an immigrant artist living in East Harlem for 28 years. She is currently the Gates beautification project coordinator, which focuses on bringing art to storefronts in Harlem. Ysabel is constantly adding dimensions to her artistic practice through lived experiences.
